If you have not heard, we are relocating beginning this Sunday (June 7) through July 19th to Seven Lakes Junior High. I know what you are thinking…. Why in the world would we do such a thing?
Good question. The recent bond passing paved the way for Kilpatrick to both update flooring and technology. This is huge for them and we are greatly excited about these positive changes for the students and staff. The construction and all that comes with it is the reason we had to be relocated for a bit.
Seven Lakes Junior High will be a fantastic spot for us. To be honest, we have been praying for a permanent move in similar fashion for almost two years. Kilpatrick has been and will be a great place for us as long as God has us there but it does seem like He is doing something more.
We have grown in size considerably over the past two years. It has been such an incredible journey watching God connect families and grow them through His work at Crossings Community. The blessings of new friendships abound as well as the God-stories of transformation.
When we originally moved to Kilpatrick we were not too concerned with space. We were an extremely young church still trying to get traction. Even today we have good expansion capabilities for our Worship Gathering space. We could increase the amount of chairs that we setup each Sunday in that room. However, that is not where we have felt the tightest pinch.
We have used all of the available space for our growing children’s ministry. God has blessed us with a great number of young growing families. He has also blessed us with leadership in our children’s ministry which does a phenomenal job creating a safe environment for discipleship to happen each week.
I would invite you to join us in two ways:
First, if you live around this community and are not being changed daily by real relationship with Jesus Christ then come and see what He is doing at Crossings Community. We would love to have you join us!
Second, if you are one of our church family then you can join us in prayer. We are praying that God would provide the right space to accommodate the vision and growth that He has provided to His church.
See you at Seven Lakes Junior High this Sunday!
